Traveling from Australia to New Zealand

Some useful information to help you organize your travel from Australia to New Zealand.

Q: Do I need visa to travel from Australia to New Zealand?

A: No, Australian citizens and people who hold a current Australian permanent residence visa or a current Australian
resident return visa do not need a New Zealand visa to enter New Zealand. Citizens and permanent residents of
Australia (who do not have certain criminal convictions) may visit, live and work in New Zealand indefinitely. Upon
arrival, Australian citizens are exempted from the requirement to hold a permit and Australian permanent residents
    are granted a residence permit.

Q: What can I bring into New Zealand?

A: Information on customs requirements, including importing and import restrictions, allowances and agricultural
restrictions, can be found on the New Zealand Customs Service website www.customs.govt.nz.
Every person arriving in New Zealand must complete the arrival card handed out on the aircraft or ship. No
vaccination certificates are required to enter New Zealand.
There are strict biosecurity rules that travellers must follow when they come to New Zealand. These requirements
are straightforward and easy to follow. Penalties for not following biosecurity rules are tough and fines can be instant.
While many goods are restricted, only a few are completely banned. More information can be found at
    www.protectnz.govt.nz.

Q: How long will take my flight from Australia to New Zealand?

A: It really depends on where you are in Australia. Here you have some flight times from the main cities in Australia to
Auckland in the North Island of New Zealand:

Sydney to Auckland: 2h 50 min
    Brisbane to Auckland: 3h 20min
    Melburne to Auckland: 3h 20min

Q: I will be in Auckland for a few days only. Which tours would you recommend?

A: You can join our most popular 1-day tour from Auckland: Tour to Rotorua and Waitomo Caves.

Q: What time do the tours conclude in Auckland?

A: Most of all tours end in Auckland at about 7.30pm.

Q: I will be in Auckland on a business trip. Do you offer tours in the weekends?

A: All the 1-day tours and the 2-day tours depart daily, 7 days a week.

Q: How far in advance shall I book the tours?

A: During the high season ( December to March ) we recommend at least 3 days in advance for the short duration
    tours.

Q: What about the 7-day tours, 14-day tours or even if I wish to have a private tour?

A: For the long tours you should give us a couple of months notice if you are coming in the high season. The sooner
you let us know the easier for us to organize all the logistics related to your tour such as accommodation, activities,
    etc.

Q: Can I book my tour on line?

A: Yes, you can. Please fill out our booking form.

Q: What can I bring back to Autralia at the end of my tour?

A: Please check the Australian Customs website.
