DAY 1
We depart Auckland at 6.45 am travelling south towards the Waikato region.
We stop for a break in Huntly where you'll see the biggest Power Station in the North Island. (We don't visit the Power Station!)
Next we head for the most visited city in New Zealand: Rotorua.
Our first stop will be at the ZORB, where you can take pictures or even try it! (extra cost). Kuirau Park with its geothermal activity and Ohinemutu comes next.
Once in Rotorua, area of high geothermal activity, we visit Lake Rotorua, Government Gardens, Rotorua Museum and the Jade Factory.
One of the main attractions is the Maori Village Te Whakarewarewa with its mud pools and geysers. In "Whaka" we will learn a bit about the Maori culture: Its dance; their way of living; etc.
Tour and Maori concert in the village are also included.

Polynesian Spa in the evening. One of the top 10 spas in the world.
DAY 2
Day tour to Taupo (1 hour trip from Rotorua)
Full day to explore Taupo. Main attractions are: Huka Falls, Craters of the Moon and Bungy Jump site.
Return to Rotorua.
DAY 3
Rotorua hotel check-out
We leave Rotorua to go for a two hour drive to the Waitomo region to visit the Kiwi House in Otorohanga.
After visiting Otorohanga Kiwi House we go for a 40 min guided tour in the Glowworm Caves, where the hightlights are: The 'Cathedral' and boat rip to witness thousands of tiny living lights - Glowworms.
Then it's time to head back to Auckland where we arrive at 7.15 pm approximately.
If you don't have much time in Auckland, we strongly recommend this day tour to Rotorua and Waitomo Caves from Auckland.
